Just a few things about me:
- I am a wife. My husband and I will celebrate our 23rd anniversary in September.
- I am a mother. I have 3 kids aged 19, 16, and 15. All of their birthdays are in November!
- I am a student. I am in my 2nd year of Grad School at PSU. I should graduate in May of 2020.
- I am a teacher. I teach High School English at JHS. This is my 3rd year teaching and I love it.
- I am a coffee addict. I love coffee, but only if it's light and sweet. My favorite is a White Chocolate Mocha from Starbucks or a Marilyn from Joplin Avenue Coffee Co.
- I am a reader. My favorite thing to do in my spare time (what spare time?!!) is read. I have an obsession with buying books that I may never read, although I do manage to average about 100 books a year.
This is such a cool, friendly blog. I know I have no exposure to this realm, but you have set this up in an interesting and accessible way. I like how you tied a Gothic novel, a popular show, and an assignment(or three) so seamlessly together. I would like to see a brief list of some of your favorite books. I'm not sure, but I thought you said something about Peter Straub in class the other night. I think he is a great writer. Mystery and Floating Dragon are my favorites, but I dig almost everything he has written.
ReplyDeleteI thought I already commented, but it must be floating in cyberspace. What I said was I enjoy the friendly accessibility of you blog. I have no experience in this realm, and yours is the first one I have been able to find enough information to respond to. I like how you mix a gothic novel, a popular show, and an assignment (or three)together so seamlessly. I also thought I heard you mention Peter Straub the other night in class. I think he is a great writer. Mystery and Floating Dragon are my favorite PS books, although I have read most of them. I would like to see a brief list of your favorite books. I think this is going to be a great blog.
